What is #NationalVoiceActorDay?

Getting to play different characters and making believe in that moment as if I were really that character bringing it to life. I like playing pretend so.

What I love most is the freedom of it, I get to become any person, live in any setting or time and do anything the human brain could imagine!

It’s immensely fun, but difficult enough that cultivating real skill takes effort, and I adore seeing my talent develop over time 🎤😊🎭

Oh boy where do I start? I can make a laundry list, but my top two are

1) Getting to meet and work with new, wonderful people on every project

2) The creative freedom I have to express different sides of me that wouldn’t come otherwise come out in everyday life

What I love about voice acting is the community! There is so much love and support! People are always sharing leads and tips and encouragements. It feels nice to be a part of a community like that.

What I love is I get to play characters who have very different lives and experiences from mine, I can become whoever I want, and to me the satisfaction of knowing that you contributed to someone's storytelling!

I’m a huge fan of anime, video games and all kinds of media so I love being able to bring characters to life!! It makes me so excited knowing I have characters with my own voice!! And overall it’s just so fun to act out different types of characters/people!!

I love the ability to tell stories – having grown up with Pixar, Disney, Veggietales, Adventures in Odyssey, heck, even the Geico gecko or Taco Bell chihuahua… There were real people behind those animated or audio projects, and I realized I wanted to be a part of that! 😆

I love that I can be anyone or anything as a voice actor. I can be young, old, skinny, fat, human, alien, or even a noncorporal being. I have a huge imagination, and with voice acting, my physical limitations have no say in what I can be in the voice world.

I love the idea of pushing my vocals to a limit to capture emotion, to bring life into something and be able to look back on it. Learn from it.
